Annemarie:

Annemarie Hegeler grew up on a farm in rural South Africa. She trained as a fashion designer at Leggat's Academy in Johannesburg but her love of shape and colour soon lead her to painting and then to paper mache.

Annemarie has a natural feel for shape and colour and loves to try out new designs and materials.

"I grew up on a farm so I'm used to the peace and solitude of the country. I love the bush and the ocean and most of my inspiration for design and colour comes from nature."

Karen:

Karen van Wyk grew up in South Africa and Zambia. She is self-taught and has experimented with shapes, materials and decorative finishes for years. 

Karen firmly believes that, with a little guidance, anyone can make stunning art out of everyday materials.

Karen is married to Kristiaan, a water sports and martial arts instructor.

"Growing up in Africa I was surrounded by wonderful textures and colours and vivid sunlight. I have always been influenced by the beauty and drama of our planet and I try to capture that in my art."
